Leather Steering Wheel Set

Leather Steering Wheel Set is specially designed for color restoration and repair of all worn and scratched black steering wheels. The set includes all necessary components to renew color and finish. The instructions ensure professional results.

Products are easy to use, suitable even for non-experts. The set includes detailed step-by-step instructions guiding safely through the entire restoration process. Necessary accessories are included for practical handling.

Tip: Test all products first on an inconspicuous area to avoid unwanted changes. Wear appropriate protective gloves during the entire process.

Cleaning – the foundation for perfect results
Fill the empty foamer bottle completely with Leather Cleaner Mild
Apply foam to a sponge
– do not apply directly to the steering wheel
Clean the entire steering wheel with foam
Lightly dampen the included cloth and remove dirt and remaining cleaner
Allow the surface to dry completely
Repeat cleaning if necessary
Sanding – for smooth transitions
Carefully smooth out rough spots with the sanding pad
Degreasing – for optimal adhesion
Apply a few drops of Degreaser to the included cloth and spread evenly
Allow to air dry thoroughly

Tip: To check adhesion, apply masking tape and peel → if it sticks firmly, the surface is optimally prepared

Dyeing – targeted steering wheel refresh
Shake Leather Fresh well
Apply by dabbing with the sponge
– never apply directly to the steering wheel
Dry with a hair dryer after each thin layer
Apply several thin layers for even results
After dyeing, let the surface dry for 24 hours

For older steering wheels:

Use Elephant Leather Preserver: apply a small amount to the third cloth and spread evenly without pressure
Let leather grease soak overnight
Next day, polish thoroughly to restore natural texture
Or, if no re-greasing is needed, proceed to step 5 (Sealing)

Tips:

Uneven color can be leveled with sanding pad and retinted
Leather Fresh can also be applied on synthetic leather and plastics
Take care with seams of different colors
Sealing – like-new protected surface
Leather must be dry for at least 24 hours, clean, and residue-free
Apply a few drops of Leather Shield to sponge
Apply thin, even layer, without rubbing hard
Usually one layer is sufficient
Repeat only for very delicate or absorbent leather
Dry with hair dryer

Maintenance interval:

Heavily used leather (sun exposure, frequent use): every 3 months
Normal use: every 6–12 months
